TV is the Opium of the Masses

So Leo asked if I would take a stab at this one, so I will. It's going to be short and the ones that will matter most will be in the top 10 or so.

TV SHOWS!

1. Upright Citizen Brigade
2. Arrested Development
3. Space Ghost: Coast to Coast
4. The Adventures of Pete and Pete
5. The Kids in the Hall
6. Quantum Leap first three seasons (just try and say it wasn't awesome)
7. Twilight Zone
8. Twin Peaks
9. Sienfeld
10. SNL (Select seasons like Orig cast, 80's with SCTV crossovers and the 90's heyday)
10. The Critic
11. Home Movies (althoug I haven't seen too many, I love every one that I have)
12. Curb Your Enthusiasm
13. South Park
14. Freaks and Geeks
15. Ali G
16. The Venture Bros.
17. E.R. (early years with Clooney and orig cast... young Noah Wyle was the SHIT)
18. Danger Mouse
19. N.Y.P.D. Blue (seriously, really great)
20. Law & Order (Orbach, Waterson years)

Runners up:
Sliders for comic value, Animaniacs/Pinky & The Brain (I need to see a DVD of this show to see if I still like it), Salute Your Shorts, Working (short lived sitcom) and various Comedy Central Sketch Comedy shows like Reno 911 and Viva Variety. I am bad with newer tv shows, so its hard for me to include them. Also, random eras of ABC Soaps as I was forced as a child to watch All My Children and General Hospital. I can still follow storylines. Also, pro wrestling, which is basically soap operas with spandex and Pile Drivers.

I'll stop there as the rest will be a stretch.

If you have questions, concerns or want to talk about shows, comment me. Otherwise, thats the list.

Good deal. You know quality over quantity matters.

By the way ,cna I possibly hink on that lost Beck tracks CD you told Stev? And I have a fw requests for you on Data Dsic if poss. Let me know if you wan those now or if shoudl just wait. I thank you immnesely in advance (because your contribtuions over the past year have seriosuly changed my life).

Ah, you are a good man, Tsikitas, a fine man. I would love to have all that Beck goodness, though I think Danno has given me a lot of obscure stuff. But regardless, load that up, and please include Guerolito on it, since I don't have that yet.

ALSO (If you're really that bored....)

Four bands that I know you know a lot about, that I don't, and would like a decent sampling of (maybe the top 2-3 albums, or just whatever you think is a good selection):

Brian Eno

Flaming Lips

Leonard Cohen

Surfjan Stevens

Give me as much as you want with those.

The next three bands, I think I have as much as I can from you and Stev, but if not, please hit me up with any other material from them:

Of Montreal (have the last two recent albums)

Secret Machines (have two albums)

Yo La Tengo (have Summer Sun and Painless)

This is looking phenomenal.

I don't know if you've acquired anythign new to your Pink Floyd collection in the past couple months. If so, please do that (I think I've got all I can from you).

Also, I have the Who's greatest hits (my generation), live at leeds, who's next, tommy, quadro, but I'll take anything else you deem worthy, since you seem to be naming a lot of songs on this site I'm not familair with.

And I want Sgt. Peppers, even if you don't think it's a worthy Beatles album. I still like it and I don't have a copy.

And as a singular song by itself, I need Motorhead's Ace of Spades in my veins so bad before they burst.

Finally, if there is anything else that you really have been enjoying lately and want to add, by all means do it. I've enjoyed all teh stuff you've given to me immesnely, especially the people I knew nothing about (Tengo, Beefhart, etc.). I trust your judgement 100 %.

Oh man that's askign a lot.... you dont; have to do this right away, I insist, just before teh end of the month when I leave. OR soemday. Whenever. I promise you a special gift in return, as I said before, that will melt your face because of its improbability (as it did the improbability of me finding it).

I will give you a comstock load, Mr. Leo. I don not have Ace of Spades on my computer or any Leonard Cohen. However, I can add to this list the much needed King Crimson if I didn't already give it to you.

Ah. We were talking about Leonard Choen earlier when theat movie came out and I assumed you did. My bad, No worries, I knwo soem people out here who could hook me up. Plus Stev has Ace, so no worries there either.

You did give me the first album of Crimson, the one that has 20th century schizoid man on it. If there are any others you enjoy, by all means, do it.

ALso, I forgot one thing: Beta Band. I remember last time there was some difficulty with this because Stev's files (or was it yours? someone had trouble) didn't work and the only people who have a large assortment are Nick and Ryan. If you have any way of hooking me up with more Beta, I would highly highly appreciate it.
